Cleansing
Smudging is the practice of burning sacred plants to cleanse a space, object, or person of negative or stagnant energy a very popular choice when Smudging.
Palo Santo means "holy wood" in Spanish, comes from a tree native to the South American coastline.
It has been cherished for centuries by indigenous shamans for its cleansing properties and its ability to invite positive energy.
Unlike sage, which is mainly for clearing, Palo Santo is used to invite positivity and enhance the energy of a space. It’s often used after smudging with sage to bring in good vibes.
It invites positive energy with the sweet, woody scent and is said to uplift the spirit and attract good fortune. The aroma is believed to reduce stress and anxiety, creating a more tranquil atmosphere and is also thought to enhance creativity and productivity.
White Sage has a long history of use in spiritual rituals by Native American cultures. It is primarily known for its powerful cleansing properties and is used to clear out heavy, stagnant energy and provide a fresh start. It is considered an "energetic shower" for your home.
The smoke is believed to absorb and carry away negative energies and studies indicate it can reduce airborne bacteria.
Carrying out this ritual can help reduce stress, promote focus, and enhance a sense of calm.

Let it burn for about 30 seconds, then gently blow out the flame. You may need to relight it throughout the process which is normal. * Open a Window: It is essential to have a window or door open to allow the negative energy to escape and fresh air to come in. * Move Through Your Home, space or move the smoke around your body. * Extinguish the Stick: Once you are finished, press the smouldering end of the stick firmly into your heat-proof container or a bowl of sand until it is completely extinguished. Never leave a burning stick unattended.
